Today during guided reading one of my groups were reading about plant facts in their story. After they read, I told them to choose facts that they learned. Once they had their facts they created a voki with my help. They loved it and hope to create more. Here are their Fact Vokis:
Wow, it is cool that you're having your students create Voki, a great way to develop their literacy skills, whether they are typing or recording their words. Hearing their words back also helps them with developing their literacy skills. What appears on the surface to be fun web 2.0 is also a serious learning tool when used to meet instructional and curricular outcomes. You should develop a class website--like the one Aviva has--to post your students' work. Something to think about now and for the new school year in the fall.
